- June 28-30 - Aikido Instructor Seminar taught by Sosei Aikido Kyokai teaching committee members. Held Friday at Soseikan Dojo in Worth, IL; Saturday at Shugyo Cultural Center; Sunday at Tokushinkan Dojo in Oak Park, IL. General seminars are open to all ranks, ages, affiliations, and experience, but this instructor seminar is open to organizational members ranked 3rd kyu and above. - July 4 (Thursday) - Fumio Toyoda Shihan Memorial Training Takes place from 10 am to 12 pm in honor of Toyoda Shihan, who passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2001. Training will be held concurrently at the three Chicagoland/Indiana Sosei Aikido Kyokai dojo - Tokushinkan Dojo in Oak Park, IL; Soseikan Dojo in Worth, IL; and Onshinkan Dojo at the Shugyo Cultural Center in Merrillville, IN. Open to all ranks, ages, affiliations, or experience.
- August/September - Annual Shugyo Cultural Center Family Picnic and/or camping event Open to all Center members and their family and guests. Details to be announced.
- November x (Sunday) - Women's Aikido Day. Aikido Seminar open to all ages, ranks, experience, and affiliation. Taught by Dianne Costanzo Sensei (Tokushinkan Dojo) and Elisabeth Menning Sensei (Onshinkan Dojo). Held at One Point Center / Tokushinkan Dojo, Oak Park, IL.
- November 24 (Thursday) - POSSIBLE Annual Thanksgiving Potluck at the Dojo - open to all members and their families. 1pm.
